Communication and knowledge management has a fundamental role in fulfilling our main goal, which is helping to build resilience to climate change in the most vulnerable countries. That is why the GCCA+ is dedicated to openly exchanging knowledge gained through experience and research.

Training and workshops

The GCCA+ facilitates personal contact and direct exchange of views and experiences. It does this by organising regional conferences, national policy dialogues, technical workshops, global policy and networking events, and side events at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP) and other relevant fora.

Cap4Dev

The GCCA+ produces an extensive set of publications and reviews. Documents are shared electronically in a dedicated area on the EU’s Capacity for Development (Cap4Dev) platform. This forum allows users to exchange views and expertise.

By joining the GCCA+ Community stakeholders can benefit from opportunities for learning and innovation.  They can for example:

  • Share documents and best practices within the community

  • Initiate or participate to thematic discussions

  • Publicise their events

  • Participate to online trainings (also with the EuropeAid academy

Visual Identity

The new visual identity of the Global Climate Change Alliance Plus, launched in 2018, speaks the language of nature.  Colours range from the turquoise of the Caribbean to the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean to the yellow of African land, to the green of Asian wetlands. The graphic elements replicate waves, drops, pebbles or rocks in a series of patterns inspired to water or to earth.

GCCA+ projects are invited to use the new logo which already incorporates the EU flag and the mention of EU funding, and to use visual templates prepared for posters, banners, social media posts, etc.
