A climate resilient development index developed by Joint Research Centre (JRC) in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) has created a tailored index to support the Global Climate Change Alliance Plus (GCCA+) in its efforts to help the most vulnerable countries mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

The open-source and publicly available GCCA+ Index  is made up of 34 country-specific indicators covering social, economic and environmental aspects critical for ‘climate-resilient’ development. The tool allows an ex-ante evaluation of the key features of vulnerability to climate change and therefore helps policymakers make funding decisions based on a country’s vulnerability to climate change.
